SAN ANTONIO — A man was hospitalized late Monday after being stabbed in the back by a woman who allegedly stole his phone after asking to borrow it.

According to preliminary reports, the victim and the suspect were arguing around 11:30 p.m. at East Commerce and Cherry Street over money the victim owed to the suspect.

The suspect then asked the victim for his phone to make a call, but when the victim asked for it back, she refused to give it to him. They got into a physical altercation, during which the woman stabbed the victim in the back.

Victim was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
