SAN ANTONIO – In the wake of a child's drowning, a San Antonio swim school has discontinued its "date night" program.

Mitchell Chang, 3, died on Feb. 10 at the Love to Swim school during a special program in which staff members watch children while their parents enjoy a night out.

Mitchell's death was ruled an accidental drowning by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office, and no criminal charges were brought against the school.

However, Love to Swim employees who worked the night of Mitchell's death have either left voluntarily or have been placed on administrative leave, according to a school spokesperson.

The school would also not comment on any pending litigation, but the spokesperson said that the school is working to make sure a similar accident never happens again.
