SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio Police say a local rapper was shot and killed early Saturday.

Authorities said two men left the Ice Lounge Club around 3 a.m. and headed east on Loop 410.

A silver SUV pulled up next to their vehicle and opened fire. The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Polk, 25, was struck several times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said another car, a black 4-door vehicle, pulled in front of Polk's car which forced Polk to also slow down.

The San Antonio Police Department said people in the black sedan also opened fire on Polk and his passenger.

Polk is a hip-hop performer and his Facebook page is filled with messages of condolences from fans and friends. The passenger was shot in the hand, but is expected to be OK.

Police had not made an arrest as of Saturday afternoon and are asking anyone with any information to call 210-207-7635.
