NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a man who was critically injured after being hit by a train on Friday morning.

The man was rushed to the San Antonio Military Medical Center after he was found lying near railroad tracks with life-threatening injuries. He was hit by a train sometime before 2:45 a.m. in the 500 block of North Hidalgo Avenue.

The man is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s with dark short hair. He is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall and has a medium build. Authorities say that he has multiple tattoos including a cross on his stomach, two hearts connected by banners on his right arm, a skull with a flaming Mohawk on his chest, and a woman wearing a sombrero with the name "Lisa" on his left arm.
