SAN ANTONIO - Police are still searching for the suspect who shot five people at a West Side restaurant Sunday night.

According to police, the shooting occurred 8:40 p.m. Sunday as the group waited outside the Texas Roadhouse in the 2800 block of Cinema Ridge, near Ingram Park Mall.

The victims are a five-year-old boy who was shot in the leg, and four adults aged 22, 27, 39 and 50. The boy is expected to be ok, but two of the adults have life-threatening injuries.

SAPD believes that all of the victims are related.

"We do not believe this shooting was random. It was not a random shooting," said San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.

The suspect's face was covered at the time of the shooting, and police are unable to identify him at this time.

Texas Roadhouse praised SAPD and the restaurant's employees for their response to the shooting.

"The police department, the first responders were so quick to respond. Also our team members. One of our service assistants was up front and heard these shots, ran towards the shots," said Travis Doster, director of communications at Texas Roadhouse. "We had some folks who were administering to the victims (and) called the police. So we're just thankful for the quick response by everybody."

Police continue to talk to witnesses and investigate any security footage that might be available.

The restaurant plans to reopen Tuesday afternoon and counseling will be available for all staff members.
