SAN ANTONIO - Two brothers are in custody for helping a fugitive escape Bexar County Sheriff's deputies.

Sonnie Tovar and Jesse Hernandez are both charged with hindering apprehension after they allegedly cut off Zachariah Bostic's handcuffs on Saturday.

Bostic was initially arrested for cocaine possession before he managed to flee from deputies.

"Hindering apprehension is a felony charge. It's a serious charge so if you have any information please call - contact us," said Sgt. Elizabeth Gonzalez.

Bostic remains at large. He has active warrants for escape, assault on a public servant and possession of dangerous drugs.
