SAN ANTONIO -- A candidate running for Texas' most competitive congressional district is gaining support from the Castro brothers.

Jay Hullings made a stop on San Antonio's southside as part of his Opportunity in America Tour. The visit was part of the former federal prosecutor's campaign against his Republican opponent, U.S. representative Will Hurd.

Hullings is an ally of the Castro brothers and is working closely with their political team during his run.

"His values reflect the values of the 23rd congressional district: hard work, faith, a belief in the american dream. That's Jay and I'm proud to support him,” said Julian Castro, former U.S. Housing Secretary.

All three politicians visited five cities during Hulling's tour Saturday.
