SAN ANTONIO — A family is asking the public’s help finding a woman who has been missing since early December.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 11, Ireeshia Carter tucked in her children at her mother’s home near the 9100 block of Hogarten Park. She told her daughter she was leaving but would be back in five minutes. She never returned.

Carter’s family said they have not heard from her and fear she may be in danger. They said that prior to this she had never left her children and not returned.

Carter recently moved to San Antonio in August 2017 from Alabama and briefly worked at a deli off of Northwest Military Highway and North Loop 1604 West.

She is five feet, six inches tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
