SAN ANTONIO — A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed at a northeast San Antonio Whataburger Sunday evening.

The shooting took place at the Whataburger at the intersection of FM 78 and Walzem Road around 9:45 p.m.

Bexar County investigators say the shooting happened after an argument happened earlier at a funeral home.

Detectives tell us the teenager's family witnessed the shooting. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

We're told the teen and the family were at a wake earlier in the evening where some sort of dispute broke out.

The teen and his family then left the funeral home and were followed here by the shooter to this Whataburger.

Another argument broke out which led to a fight. That's when investigators say a suspect pulled out a rifle, shooting the 15-year-old several times, in front of a lot of witnesses.

"A dispute over there, that dispute was brought over here. And at that moment they got into physical altercation and one of them pulled out a rifle and shot the individual several times,” said Marin Mata.

Police say no one is in custody yet and that they’re looking for several vehicles — a black vehicle, red vehicle and gold vehicle that left the location.

No one was detained or arrested after the crime, but Bexar County deputies tell us they are looking for the suspects.

This is the second teenager killed in that area the past couple of days. Sixteen-year-old Reginald Adams was killed Sunday afternoon in a shooting at the Town Square Apartments just 2 miles away from the location of the Whataburger.
