SAN ANTONIO -- Police are investigating a homicide after a body was found in the grass on the side of the road.

Authorities said a driver saw the body on the South Side of San Antonio near the access road of Loop 410. When officers arrived they found a woman lying in the grass face down.

The victim had gunshot wounds and appeared to have been dumped at the location.
