SAN ANTONIO – The Hays County Sheriff and the U.S. Marshalls arrested a man accused of assault in Bexar County on Friday.

Jerry Ruiz Moncada is accused of assaulting his ex-common-law spouse on Oct. 29 at her apartment in West Bexar County.

According to  Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the 42-year-old became angry when the victim gave him the wrong food order. When she tried to leave the apartment, Moncada assaulted her.

He then fled in his gray Dodge Charger before deputies reached the scene. As he fled, Moncada called dispatch to report his side of the story. Deputies asked him to turn himself in, but he refused.
