SAN ANTONIO - A man was arrested Wednesday morning after leading Bexar County deputies on a chase before crashing a stolen pick-up.

The sheriff's office responded to calls for a domestic disturbance before the chase began in northwest Bexar County.

From there the suspect fled in the stolen truck and crashed into a separate vehicle before hitting a sign and losing a wheel, which finally forced him to stop. Only one passenger in the stolen vehicle was hurt.

No injuries are reported in that other vehicle, but one passenger in the stolen vehicle was injured.

"We don't know if she was there against her will or as a willing participant.  At any rate, she did suffer some pretty substantial injuries during the crash.  So at this point, if we do find that the suspect was intoxicated at the time and that's what caused the crash. This will be handled as intoxication assault," said Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar.

The suspect also faces charges for felony theft and had several outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest.

Deputies also say they found stolen police equipment in the stolen vehicle, including a holster and parts of a uniform.
