T1-Zadock Dinkelmann – Somerset (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 8-10, 143 yards 1 TD

2017 Stats: Passing 22-39, 454 yards 4 TD’s.

Dinkelmann wasn’t asked to do much in Somerset’s win over Sam Houston but when he did throw the ball he was incredibly accurate and effective moving the team down the field. His one touchdown pass was a beautiful toss into the corner of the end zone in which his receiver made a spectacular one-hand catch.

T1- Julon Williams – Judson (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 7-13, 148 yards 1 TD. Rushing 138 yards 2 TD’s.

2017 Stats: Passing 22-34, 401 yards 3 Td’s. Rushing 363 yards 6 TD’s.

Hard to follow up what he did in the opener, but Williams had another impactful game in the win over Brennan with 3 total touchdown.

3- Matthew Baldwin – Lake Travis (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 26-37 3 TD’s. Rushing 42 yards 1 TD.

2017 Stats: Passing 55-90, 767 yards 8 TD’s. Rushing 68 yards 1 TD.

Baldwin has been spectacular in his first two starts and played near perfect leading Lake Travis to a win over Steele last week.

4- Davis Brin – Champion (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 22-32, 262 yards 4 TD’s.

2017 Season: Passing 45-75, 499 yards 5 TD’s. Rushing 41 yards.

Brin looked more like himself last week with 4 touchdown passes in a win over Stevens.

5- Chase Griffin – Hutto (Junior)

Last Week: Passing 21-36, 226 yards 2 TD’s.

2017 Season: Passing 34-56, 505 yards 6 TD’s.

Griffin had another strong showing in a win for Hutto last week. Big test for him and the Hippos as they open district play at Georgetown Friday.

6- Roel Sanchez – O’Connor (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 9-17, 197 yards 3 TD’s. Rushing 94 yards 2 TD’s.

2017 Season: Passing 22-36, 391 yards 7 TD’s. Rushing 188 yards 3 TD’s.

Sanchez continues to put up huge numbers while O’Connor continues to win. Friday could be a statement game for him and the Panthers if they can beat Steele.

7- Mak Sexton – Cedar Park (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 28-37, 345 yards 3 TD’s.

2017 Season: Passing 47-68, 437 yards 4 TD’s. Rushing 1 TD

After a rough showing in week one, Sexton was great last week in the win over Vandegrift. It will be interesting to see if these are the type of numbers he’ll put up the rest of the season.

8- Tyler Vitt – MacArthur (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 15-33, 206 yards 2 TD’s. Rushing 52 yards.

2017 Season:  Passing 40-77, 507 yards 5 TD’s. Rushing 80 yards.

Vitt threw a couple of early TD passes to keep the Brahmas in it against Clemens, but they fell short in the end.

9- Jacob Zeno – Jay (Junior)

Last Week: Passing 11-24, 130 yards 1 TD.

2017 Season: Passing 26-45, 530 yards 4 TD’s.

After a big time performance in week one, Zeno fell off a bit last week in a loss against Southwest.

10- D.J. Bolger – Hyde Park (Senior)

Last Week: Passing 9-12, 111 yards TD.

2017 Season: Passing 11-15, 143 yards 2 TD’s. Rushing 1 TD

Bolger didn’t get a ton of opportunities last week but was very accurate in the passes he threw.
