SAN ANTONIO — The Cannoli Fund is trying to raise $1,500 for San Antonio animals.

That money will go toward spaying and neutering services.

Supporters also provide animal welfare for the King William and Lavaca areas.

Dog owners brought their furry friends to the fundraiser in the downtown area.

Organizers say their efforts help combat a problem often seen in the community.

"A lot of times people come and bring them to our community because they think people have money here and they just roam around and then we have feral cats. So we are just trying to give back,” said Cindy Garcia.

The organization is continuing to accept donations online through their website here
