SAN ANTONIO — The community's outpouring of love and support for the two San Antonio Police Department officers involved in last week's shooting continues.
Dozens of people marched from the Alamo to the San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters to show support for officers Julio Cavazos and Miguel Moreno.
Moreno died in the line of duty on Friday after being shot. Cavazos was released from the hospital Tuesday.
The “Back the Blue" march was organized to honor the bravery of these two officers as well as the department.
"It wasn't really much that we did that took up a lot of our time, this ain't nothing for what they do for us. This ain't nothing, they put their life on the line for us, so just going out and getting banners and organizing, it ain't nothing,” said event organizer Chris Martinez.
The funeral for Officer Moreno is scheduled for Friday. We’ll have live coverage on channels 14 and 200 all morning.
