SAN ANTONIO -- Hundreds of motorcyclists honored a San Antonio police officer by taking a ride together.
Bikers exited the Deer Crossing Saloon Saturday flying thin blue flags in honor of Officer Julio Cavazos.
Cavazos was wounded during a shootout in June that killed fellow officer Miguel Moreno. The morning ride was also set up to run to raise money for his family.

Organizers say they are overwhelmed by the number of motorcyclists who showed up to support the hero, they say, Cavazos is.
"We love him for what he did and we just want to show a little bit of our gratitude and let him know that his brothers and sisters in blue and the community are with him,” said organizer Jeff Stewart.
All proceeds from Saturday's event will go toward the Cavazos family.
