GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas — The woman found dead on Dupuy Ranch Road in Martindale was killed by a shuttle bus, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office.

Texas State University student Jordin Taylor was found Saturday at the Cool River Ranch in Martindale. Sheriffs believe she was dragged for more than 500 feet by a shuttle bus after conducting an autopsy.

The shuttle bus was at Cool River Ranch as part of a Friday night fraternity party.

The body of Taylor, a 20-year-old woman from Burleson, Texas, was discovered under the bus' rear axel by a mechanic who was called out to fix its air braking system.

The bus was left at the ranch at around 11:15 p.m. on Friday after an issue was discovered with its brakes.

The investigation by the Sheriff's Office is ongoing, but believe that Taylor's death may have been an accident.

Deputies are asking anyone who attended the party to contact them at 830-379-1224.
