The TMI seniors have only seen seven wins in their entire high school career.

Coming off a 2-6 season, the Panthers are looking to finally be in a place where they're not the youngest guys on the field. Of the 35 guys on the team, 19 are seniors and they have their former head coach back after a season away.

Head coach Polo Gutierrez lead TMI two seasons ago as a part-time gig, then spent last season coaching the UIW defensive line and special teams. This year he's back as a full-time coach.

One major thing Gutierrez brought with him two years ago are the pads the players wear on top of their helmets at all times, except during games. He says they are necessary to keep all of his players safe when he has such a small team.

With eight starters back on both sides of the ball, and a giant senior class looking to finally make its mark, if the Panthers want to show what they can do, this is the year they need to show their worth.
