Grab a jacket and an umbrella!  Compliments of last night's cold front, we've jumped from the feel of fall to winter all of a sudden and there's plenty of chilly rain out there, too.  The forecast calls for an overall 80% rain chance today with falling or steady 40s feeling like 30s.

It's a real shock to the system out there compared to the humid 90 degree afternoon we experienced on Sunday.  Northerly winds around 10 to 20 mph will hold strong through tomorrow, adding a wind chill factor to the mix as temperatures hover between 40 and 50 for a couple of days.

As for temperatures, we're talking about the kind of chill more typically found in late December!  We might bust the records for coolest daytime highs, which currently stand at 61 (1912) on Tuesday and 60 (1948) for Wednesday according to the Camp Mabry climate data set.

Futurecast shows rounds of rain flowing into the CapCity area through tomorrow then we expect a lull in the rain on Wednesday, when temps might recover into the low 50s.  As more upper-level energy arrives Thursday, we're in for another round of showers & possible storms into the end of the week.  During the day Thursday, we at least expect to warm back up to near 60 and Friday could end up in the mid 60s.

The tail end of another cold front will try to sweep through our part of Texas on Saturday with yet another rain chance.  By the weekend, we think temps will rise back up into the 60s again.
