Showers and storms are long gone and, in the wake of yesterday's front, we're left with the comfortable feel of fall to enjoy out there today.  The forecast calls for abundant sunshine, low humidity, and high temperatures only near 80.  Grab your sunshades!

A reinforcing shot of cooler, drier air arrives from the north today with winds gusting around 10 to 15 mph at times.

Futurecast shows mostly sunny skies and dry conditions for the next couple of days.  You might even need some light sleeves around sunrise, with a range of low 50s in rural/suburban areas to upper 50s expected in the metro the next few mornings.

Scattered clouds return to the scene on Friday, then a few showers are expected to develop this weekend as we watch two features move into Texas.

First, leftovers from TROPICAL STORM SERGIO in the Pacific are expected to cross North Texas on Saturday.  It could bring rain especially along the I-20 corridor.

Then another, more powerful cold front is timed to ease into Texas on Sunday with a 40% chance for showers & storms.  Breezy north winds will make it feel notably cooler by Sunday evening, we believe, with temps dropping as low as some 40s & 50s by early Monday morning.

Next week looks much cooler than normal and potentially wet.  Join us for the full forecast on 'Weather on the 1s' on TV or via the live stream for more.
