In spite of some heavy downpours early on, the weekend weather actually felt incredibly nice and appropriately fall-like for our transition of the seasons.  Look for more sunshine to break through the clouds today, allowing for a slightly warmer range of afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

We'll hold on to a slim but noted 20% chance for a few hit-or-miss showers throughout the day, but it really shouldn't amount to much.  Here's a quick look back at the top totals from the past three days:

Futurecast shows our skies gradually opening up to some peeks of sunshine as the day goes by, with even more sunshine expected for tomorrow/Tuesday. We think it'll be the warmest day of the week, potentially with some 90s, ahead of our first cold front of fall.

The front is still timed to arrive during the morning to midday hours on Wednesday and there's a 50% chance it might bring some showers & storms.  While computer models had been stalling the front out nearby, today's latest data shows the front pushing completely through Central Texas before slowing down. If that scenario pans out, it'll mean less rain for the area. If the front actually ends up slowing down or going stationary sooner (in the region,) we might endure some additional, heavier totals.

As of this morning, computer models vary widely with accumulation forecasts ranging from only a few hundredths of an inch to some showing close to three inches! A lot could still change about this forecast, so make sure you stay "weather-aware" and join us for 'Weather on the 1s' for updates. We're on TV and/or the live stream every 10 minutes.
