Pacific moisture continues to stream into the state.  This, along with moisture from the Gulf of Mexico is interacting with a weak cold front moving through Central Texas. This will provide the instability to produce occasional showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend.  Locally heavy downpours can be expected.

This front should weaken by early next week and we'll shut off the chance for rain.  However, another cold front is poised to bring chances for rain late in the week.
