Yesterday's high of 100 at Camp Mabry makes it 52 days at or above 100 this summer, but it looks like the triple digit days may be just about over.

An area of low pressure over the western Gulf of Mexico will continue to slowly shift westward through the long holiday weekend.  This will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the area today and Labor Day Monday.  Also a trough of low pressure moving eastward from the Desert Southwest will bring instability into our area providing the chance for showers and thunderstorms into next week.  All of this will combine to produce an extended unsettled rainy pattern through much of next week.  Even though it will be humid, high temperatures will be down from where they've been.  Expect highs in the low to mid 90s.
