While we do see some subtle changes in our weather ahead, the repeating pattern of morning clouds to hot afternoon sun looks to continue through the upcoming weekend with high temperatures near 90 feeling a few degrees hotter thanks to higher humidity.  Be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Expect a stronger south-southeasterly breeze out there today, with sustained winds around 10 to 15 mph and gusts potentially above 20 mph.

The higher humidity will make our nights & mornings feel more muggy.  And those low clouds might also put out some light drizzle, especially around daybreak when temps are typically at their coolest.  It won't amount to much, with our latest models showing potential for only a few hundredths of an inch of rain between now and next Tuesday.

In the upper atmosphere, high pressure is camping out over Mexico and it's helping to deflect storms and keep our Texas atmosphere relatively stable.  The high will shift a bit over the weekend and become a bit stronger by Monday.  Not until the middle of next week do we see it moving out of place, with a possible cold front entering the state by Wednesday or Thursday.

And we still have eyes on potential development in the Caribbean.  Even though that part of the Atlantic Basin is running a bit cooler than normal, we think an early start to the hurricane season might be in the cards.  If there is going to be impact in Texas, it'll be more than a week-and-a-half away.

We'll show you the latest models on 'Weather on the 1s' on TV and/or the live stream.  Be sure to watch!
