Monday was a pretty day with most afternoon highs close to the normal of 83.  The area will be bathed in sunshine again Tuesday with highs above that normal.  Some highs could reach 90.  The wind will come from the southeast 5 to 10 mph.

The next cold front is on the way carrying with it another chance of rain and thunderstorms Wednesday mid-/late-afternoon into Wednesday night.  For now, our in-house rain forecast model is not indicating much rain at all.  In fact, two models are showing 0.00".  The cold front should pass during the evening around 8 p.m. or so.  The wind will then return to come from the north.

A period of quiet weather will remain Thursday through Saturday.  Low rain chances are back in the Sunday-Monday forecast.

If you have travel plans to the east and northeast plan for rain moving up the coast ... from South/North Carolina Tuesday up to New England Wednesday.

The relatively quiet weather is detailed in your 7 Day Forecast.

Have a good Tuesday.
