Thanks to a large disturbance crossing the middle of America today, winds of change are blowing across the Lone Star State.  The cold front is fairly weak and brings only a 10-20% rain chance to the area, but we will feel a difference as drier north winds take hold.  Even still, we think we'll make it into the low to mid 80s this afternoon.

We'll feel more of the impact of the front through the end of the week, with north-northeasterly winds becoming breezy at times tonight and tomorrow.  A testament to the weakness of the front, we think it'll stall out along the coast by this evening.  Southerly winds are forecast to return by late tomorrow, bringing moisture levels right back up into play before the weekend.

As for temps, it'll feel nice and cool again the next few mornings with metro 50s and a few rural/suburban 40s.  Look for daytime highs in the upper 70s tomorrow then cooler low 70s for Friday.

A more potent disturbance will track from the West Coast towards the Texas Panhandle between now and Saturday, bringing our next threat of strong to severe storms to the state during the first half of the weekend.  As of now, the front is timed to arrive around noon on Saturday.  Briefly heavy downpours, lightnin + thunder, and sizable hail all look possible from the strongest storms.
