There were several strong thunderstorms in parts of Burnet and Bell Counties Tuesday morning/afternoon.  Some hail reports from those storms:
Ping Pong size at C & W Ranch in northern Burnet Co. west of 281
Ping Pong size at the intersection of CR 206 and 207 in northern Burnet Co.
Quarter size between Moody and Morgan's Point Resort
Quarter size in Temple
Penny to nickel size in Killeen
Penny at Fort Hood

There was not much activity during the evening/night Tuesday.

The cold front arrived on time, leaving behind strong north winds for the overnight hours through at least noon Wednesday.  The winds will turn slightly to come out of the northeast Wednesday morning.

Temperatures climbed into the low 80s at several reporting stations Tuesday with a strong south breeze that found some gusts reaching the low to middle 30s.

There will be a noticeable chill with lows in the 40s.  The high wind speeds will lend to wind chills in the 30s in some of the Hill County and Bell County.  Highs peak in the upper 60s to around 70.

Another cold front and another  upper-level trough of low pressure will lead to another chance of rain and thunderstorms Friday.  The front arrives on Saturday morning with another dose of breezy north winds.  There will be quite a drop in highs from Friday to Saturday which you can see on your 7 Day Forecast.

Don't expect much change in the oak pollen counts as they are expected to remain high to very high for the rest of this week.

Have a good Wednesday.
