In the wake of this week's big rain event, we're looking for abundant sunshine and comfortably dry conditions across Central Texas as we head into Easter Weekend.  Our forecast calls for gusty northeasterly winds and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s.

With lower humidity and clear skies, it's a cool start but we'll find plenty of comfort this afternoon.  A dry cold front arrived last evening, and that's the reason for the stronger breeze out there.  Winds are expected to peak around 10 to 15 mph by noon then gradually diminish later on today, becoming southerly tonight.

High pressure will bring fairly stable conditions to the Lone Star State through tomorrow, even as we start to feel the humidity coming back up once again.  Look for some scattered clouds to develop during the day Saturday, with an increase Saturday night to Sunday morning.

There might be some fog, drizzle and mist out there for Easter sunrise, which happens at 7:20 a.m. Sunday morning.  We'll have temperatures in the low 60s in most areas at that time.  Our computer models show the clouds breaking up by afternoon, with high temps in the low 80s.  Then a slightly better rain chance starts to develop by Sunday night -- we'll call it a 20% shot for some light showers through Monday.

A cold front approaches the area Tuesday with an improved 40% chance for showers & storms.  After starting the week with daytime 80s, we'll drop back to 70s for the middle of next week.  Another front could bring more rain into the picture next Friday through the first weekend of April.
