We can definitely feel the change in the air as humidity from the Gulf returned yesterday, and it's amounted to some patchy fog out there this morning.  We expect the clouds to break up to reveal lots of very warm sunshine by midday, with high temps in the mid to upper 80s rivaling the standing record of 86 from March 16, 2013.

A punch of desert-like dry air from West Texas is the reason we're able to clear out the clouds today.  They'll be back tonight, again with some patchy fog and drizzle.  It's a 20% rain chance overnight then a slightly better 30% shot for showers & storms tomorrow.  That said, our computer models point to the heaviest round happening on Sunday, with odds up to 40% for the second half of the weekend.

One disturbance moved through the area while most were sleeping, and another is on the way from the Pacific.  Our Futurecast model shows it crossing I-35 late tomorrow night/early Sunday, and it might strike up some brief thunderstorms through around noon on Sunday before moving east.  In all, we think some 1/4" to 1/2" accumulations can be expected with the heaviest east of I-35.

Temperatures will run well above the normal 72 with highs in the mid to upper 80s through Sunday, then another cold front comes to the rescue with slightly cooler breezes arriving very early Monday.  It'll help clear us out and bring back more comfort for next week with daytime 70s.

It'll be a good weekend to stay tuned to 'Weather on the 1s' as we keep an eye on the radar!  Be sure to tune in from time to time on TV and/or the live stream.
