After a chilly start, we're heading to highs in the mid to upper 60s with abundant sunshine out there to kick off the new week.  Perfectly timed for Spring Break and SXSW activities, our weather looks very comfortable and mostly dry until the end of the week, with a chance for showers & storms back at play through the upcoming St. Patrick's Day weekend.

In the wake of yesterday's cold front, northerly winds around 10 to 15 mph continue to add a bit of a bite out there this morning.  Make sure you grab some sleeves and shades as we're planning for partly to mostly sunny skies through the day.  As high pressure builds at the surface, winds will gradually calm down by tonight and, under a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky, it's going to be chilly.  We're calling for metro lows in the low to mid 40s around sunrise Tuesday with rural/suburban lows in the mid to upper 30s.

Another surge of cool, dry air arrives tomorrow to keep the beautiful weather in place.  By Wednesday afternoon, southeasterly winds will slowly begin to return and that's when humidity will start to creep back up once again.

In the atmosphere aloft, computer models show winds from the west bringing several shortwave impulses across Texas from Thursday to Sunday, and it could mean rainfall here at home.  As of now, we've got a 30% chance in for Thursday then a 20% chance Friday through Sunday.  And we could really use the rain!  Austin's 2018 deficit is currently just over three inches.
