Temperautres are running 5 to 10 degrees "warmer" today.  Afternoon temperatures return to the 40s today.  The warming trend will continue through the weekend.

The wind in the mid and upper atmosphere are coming from the southwest bringing in moisture from the Pacific.  The area dawned overcast and stayed cloudy into the early afternoon.  There likely won't be much clearing.  An upper disturbance will glide across Texas tomorrow with a little rain forecast Friday through early Saturday morning.  Not much rain is expected to be measured.

Much warmer air arrives in time for the weekend with highs reaching the upper 60s to low 70s.  Another cold front will arrive Sunday night/Monday morning with cooler air.  This is a Pacific front as opposed to an Arctic or Canadian front so the cooling will not be as dramatic as we had with Monday night's front.

The approaching front will also lead to a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday into Sunday night with an early forecast of .10" to .25".

Mountain cedar counts are down today, thankfully.  It is felt that counts will stay in moderate numbers through the weekend.
