Some areas received a little rain this morning.  Most totals held under .10".  An upper-level trough is moving across west Texas this afternoon.  It will pass over our area tonight continuing the rain chances.  Rain is expected to end by 12 to 2 a.m. Thursday leaving an overcast sky for Thursday morning.

Possible brief downpours will lead to the area's higher rain totals in Bell, northern Burnet and northern Williamson Counties.

A strong north breeze will continue this afternoon.  Wind gusts in the upper teens to low/mid 20s should be expected.

Afternoon temperatures will likely get no higher than the mid/upper 40s to a few between 50 and 52.  Highs for the day happened before daybreak ranging from 53 at Temple to 61 at San Marcos and Smithville.  Austin's high for the day will be 60 which occurred at 12:36 a.m.  Austin-Bergstrom's high will also be 60 ... that at 1:11 a.m.

Lows tomorrow morning will fall to the low/mid 40s under the overcast.  Clouds will clear during the day with highs returning to the upper 50s/low 60sl.  Warmer air is ahead for Friday as highs reach the mid/upper 60s.

Low rain chances return for the weekend.  A weak upper trough could generate a little rain Saturday and Saturday night.  A weak cold front enters the area for low rain chances Sunday through Monday morning.
