Our cold front arrived right on time this morning, just before sunrise with gusty winds and brief heavy downpours. Cool dry air moves in quickly, allowing for a sunny and comfy afternoon. Get outside and enjoy it! Humidity will be way down and a breezy north wind will make it feel a little cooler outside. Highs today will be closer to average in the upper 70s to low 80s, about 10 degrees cooler than Saturday.

Temps now:

The front moves south and clears Texas by this afternoon, setting up great conditions for any weekend travelers.

Winds relax after sunset, and with clear skies overnight, Monday morning will start on the chilly side with temperatures in the 40s and 50s, so it's back to jacket weather. Daytime highs are back in the 80s Monday, then a dry cold front moves in, reinforcing cool and dry conditions for the rest of the week. Cooler 70s are in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday, then back in the 80s by Thursday ahead of our next strong cold front arriving by the weekend. So temperatures will be on a roller coaster ride, but at least we'll enjoy a longer stretch of cool and dry weather. Our weekend front may bring a few showers late Friday into Saturday, and likely the coolest air of the fall season so far! Plan for weekend lows in the 40s with highs in the 60s...nice, right?

Plan here with the 7 day forecast

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
