AUSTIN, Texas - One of Austin's culinary staples is turning 16.

The Soup Peddler began when David Ansel built up a recycled bike from the Yellow Bike Project and started delivering soups. Sixteen years later, his business has grown to five locations across the city with Ansel raking in about $4 million annually.

To celebrate the soup-er sweet 16 the Alamo Drafthouse is showing a documentary featuring Ansel.

As far as his success, Ansel credits the store's unique brand and authenticity.

“This is the happiest I’ve ever been—most fulfilled and actualized I’ve ever felt and the business. It’s just at its best,” says Ansel.

The Austin Yellow Bike Project received a portion of ticket sales from the documentary's showing.
