Another body of water in Central Texas is infested with zebra mussels.

Texas Parks and Wildlife said Friday the Stillhouse Hollow Reserve on the Lampasas River near Belton is infested.

A boater first reported the mussels and Parks and Wildlife confirmed its presence after testing the waters last month.

Stillhouse Hollow is a US Army Corps of Engineer reservoir.

The state has been fighting zebra mussels since 2009, when they were first spotted at Lake Texoma.

They can clog water pipes, damage boat motors and affect the water.

State lawmakers have earmarked almost $7-million to manage the infestation.
