The Lake Travis baseball team won their first 25 games this season and spent time as the top ranked team in the state and even in some national polls. But last Wednesday they were in a real fight to survive their first round playoff series against MacArthur. It was just a one game series and was scoreless the first few innings. The only runs of the game came from Lake Travis junior Brett Baty, who hit a 2-run HR. Baty was also the winning pitcher. He threw 6 shutout innings.

With that scare behind them, the Cavaliers are hoping to refocus and go on a deep playoff run and win the school's first state title. Next up for Lake Travis is a 2nd round series against East Central.
