AUSTIN, Texas - In a letter to the Austin City Council delivered Tuesday, Precourt Sports Ventures, LLC, which is in the process of trying to bring professional soccer to the city, laid out its projection for economic benefit should a stadium be located at McKalla Place.

The letter states that the city-owned McKalla Place would require “strategic investments to improve the site for readiness.” Precourt Sports Ventures and its partners pledged to privately fund construction of a new stadium at a cost of $200 million.

Precourt Sports estimates the stadium and team would generate in excess of $326 million in direct value to the community over the next 25 years. That would include employment during the construction phase and sales during the operations phase.
