The Austin Marathon is scheduled for Feb. 18. Spectrum News Sports Director Ricky Doyle will be running this year’s race as the official charity chaser, meaning he will start dead last and for every runner he passes during the race, High Five Events will donate $1 to a local charity.

After a month long competition, it was announced Thursday that Ricky will be running for Camp Kesem, which operates camps for children touched by a parent’s cancer. To find out more about Camp Kesem, Ricky spoke with two of the camp’s leaders.

There's still time for you to run the Austin Marathon, half marathon, or 5K on behalf of your favorite Austin Gives Miles charity. All runners raise awareness and funds that directly benefit 28 Central Texas charities. Runners currently registered or planning to register can visit youraustinmarathon.com/agm/
