During their first possesion in overtime of last week's game, Cedar Ridge QB Ezekiel Coss caught a pass on a trick play. After making the catch he turned and saw two defenders coming to stop him from reaching the endzone. Instead of diving low for the goalline or being tackled short, Coss decided to leap over the defenders and almost rode on top of them in for the score. It proved to be the game winning TD, in the dramatic 35-34 win for Cedar Ridge over Coppell. Not only did Coss catch a touchdown, he threw for 3 scores and had another rushing TD.

Earlier that day, Hendrickson pulled off the upset of Sachse thanks to the near perfect play of QB Blaine Barker. The junior completed all 13 of his passes, including one TD toss. Barker also ran for 3 TD's and took a couple of big shots when going into the endzone. His play helped lead Hendrickson to the 42-35 win.

Both the QB's helped their team reach the 4th round and now they'll match up against one another this Saturday at 5pm for a trip to the final four of the playoffs.
