Austin's passed a paid sick leave ordinance. Now, it looks like San Antonio voters will get their say on the issue in November.

A grassroots coalition of progressive activists has collected enough signatures to get a paid-sick-leave initiative on the ballot. It would require businesses in the city to provide paid sick leave for employees.

Such ordinances have drawn the ire of the Texas Attorney General, who says it's unlawful.

Now, one employment research group is warning of the potential fallout from enacting such a policy.
