AUSTIN, Texas - Austin's new City Manager has been on the job for just a short time, but he's ready to share some of his progress.

Spencer Cronk met with media on Tuesday to highlight some of his earliest goals and discuss what he hopes to accomplish in his new role.

Cronk said he has an engagement plan he hopes to roll out in the coming weeks, which includes visiting with many communities throughout the city.

"Cultural communities, they include our religious leaders, our faith-based leaders, our neighborhood organizations, our business community, and our city employees.  I think it's really important for me to hear from all the different people that impact and influence the unique culture and spirit that is Austin," said Cronk.

Cronk said for everyone he engages with, he asks the same three questions:  "What do we need to retain as the city grows?" "What gives you hope for Austin's future?" and "What advice do you have for me?"
