STATEWIDE -- Primary voters have less than a week to register to vote, and it's not something you can do online.

If you've recently moved, you'll have to update your voter registration. You may also have to register if you haven't voted in several election cycles.

Texas law requires voters to register at least 30 days before an election.

"There is this 30-day window there. Folks will still be able to register after Feb. 5; they just won't be allowed to properly vote in this primary," said Christopher Davis, the Williamson County Elections Administrator.

Some counties have volunteers posted outside DPS driver license offices to make registration a little easier.

Forms vary from county to county, and they typically must be picked up in person. You can find the right form for your county at VoteTexas.gov.
