SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Super Regional Grocery Warehouse is set to be complete in late 2019. On Thursday morning, H-E-B leaders, plus city and county officials gathered to break ground on the 1.6 million square-foot facility.

The facility will be the company’s largest investment into its manufacturing and supply-chain division as well as its largest single-build warehouse.
Earlier this year, H-E-B announced plans for the warehouse as the first facility that is part of a multi-phase plan to develop 871 acres on San Antonio’s East Side.
When operations begin in 2020, between 600 and 700 partners will be assigned to work at the warehouse. Of those, half of the positions will be new to San Antonio and the remaining jobs will come from existing H-E-B warehouses.
