AUSTIN, Texas - A woman who was severely burned in a house explosion in southeast Austin this past weekend has died.

The victim was identified as Nicole Burton.

PREVIOUS: Two Injured in Southeast Austin House Explosion 

The explosion took place Saturday, October 27 at a home located in the 2300 block of Bendridge Trail. Investigators said the home had catastrophic damage. Crews had to work to protect homes on both sides of the explosion site.

A man in his 50s was also injured in the explosion.

Investigators said the explosion threw debris between 100 and 200 feet in every direction. The cause of the blast was determined to be a buildup of natural gas.

Damage was estimated at $750,000. At least five other homes and several cars were damaged as well.
