As if Halloween night wasn't spooky enough already, a fall cold front looks to arrive around trick-or-treat time on Wednesday and it could bring some potent storms.

The strongest might include dangerous lightning and howling storm winds.

On Monday morning, computer models show the front moving across the region around sunset, which is just prior to 7 o'clock.

Perfect timing, eh?

Any rain that develops should be brief and should happen immediately before the front arrives, followed by relatively quick clearing.

Ahead of the front, the forecast calls for warm low 80s on Wednesday afternoon.  Behind the front, a cooler, drier northerly wind will take temps from near 75 at 6 p.m. to 65 by 8 p.m.  Strong breezes could make 60s feel like 50s as early as 9 p.m.

In the above video, Chief Meteorologist Burton Fitzsimmons tells us that timing will be everything.  Depending on when you plan to head out, you might want to make some adjustments to your costume.
