AUSTIN Texas -- Early voting begins Monday across the state of Texas and nearly 16 million people are registered to vote ahead of the midterm election.

Anyone that plans on voting will need a form of photo ID.

Acceptable forms of identification: (one of anything below)

• Driver License
• Texas Personal Identification Card
• Texas Election Identification Certificate
• Texas License to Carry a Handgun
• U.S. Military ID Card
• U.S. Passport​
• U.S. Citizenship Certificate 

Anyone that does not have one of the items listed above will have to sign declaration at the polling location stating why he or she is unable to obtain a photo ID. People will also have to bring any of the following forms of documentation:

• Valid Voter Registration Certificate
• Certified Birth Certificate
• Current utility bill
• Paycheck
• Government check
• Bank statement
• Government document with name and address
