WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA – The Winston-Salem Police Department is asking the public for help to win a grant to get a new dog for their K-9 unit.

The department is participating in a competition from Aftermath.com that is voted on by the public.

More than 3,000 departments are expected to compete for grants, so competitions is going to be stiff!

In order to vote, you must:

  • Be a legal resident.
  • Be at least 6 years old.
  • Have a valid email address.

You can vote once every 12 hours by visiting Aftermath.com/K9grant AND once a day by visiting Aftermath’s Instagram page.

The top eight vote-getters will receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $500.

The competition runs Thursday, October 18 to Friday, November 2.
