TEXAS – Authorities pulled a body from the banks of Lake LBJ Tuesday afternoon.
The Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death. State Rep. Terry Wilson lives along the Highland Lakes reminded everyone the flood event is far from over.
A bridge also collapsed at the Llano River and Lake LBJ intersections.
Just downstream from the bridge collapse, homes along Lake LBJ are underwater and evacuations along the lake are underway.
Some families stayed overnight, only to wake up to water coming into their homes. Tuesday afternoon, homeowners used a brief drop in lake levels to get what they could out before the lake rises again tonight.
Utility crews went around shutting off water to the homes.
Evacuations are also underway along the Llano River as floodwater continue to threaten homes.
