AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department is investigating a bank robbery in East Austin Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the Wells Fargo bank located at 1825 South Pleasant Valley Rd. around 1 p.m. CT.

Investigators said a man entered the bank and demanded money. He escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as being 6 feet tall, wearing black jeans, a black hoodie, and goggles. Police said there was no weapon displayed during the incident and there were no reported injuries.

The Austin Police Department said this was the nineteenth bank robbery of the year. Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
