LAKE TRAVIS, Texas – A woman who was shot in the head and survived is thanking the first responders who saved her life.
- Survived deadly shooting
- 2 others killed, along with shooter
- Thanking paramedics who saved her
Jaclyn Burden, 24, survived a 2017 shooting in Lake Travis that killed two other people during a business dispute.
After major brain surgery, Burden is still recovering. Since her attack, she wanted to meet and thank the men and women who came to her rescue.
"I feel like they don't get thanked enough. I know a lot of times first responders go to an incident and the person either ends up deceased or they go on with their lives and they never actually take the time to go back and say thank you for saving me," said Burden.
Investigators said the suspect, 54 year-old Randall Burrows, shot and killed himself after leading police on a high-speed chase.
